Great view at Sheesh Mahal with good food and service. Mr Gaurav and Mr Kunwarpal and Mr Krishna gave amazing service and made sure we had a good time at the Leela. Chefs Sudhandhu and Deepak made tasty dishes. The hotel is very well built on the lake Pichola. They have a private jetty too.

A review of my stay in Hotel Leela Palace: Udaipur

After years of living a sedentary lifestyle, mainly because of work and family, I decided to get out of my comfort zone and travel. After a lot of thought and consideration I decided to travel to the "city of Lakes" ; Udaipur. The choice of Hotel was a difficult one but a seasoned traveller as well as an expert decision maker suggested me to stay at Hotel Leela Palace situated on the beautiful lake Pichola. I still remember myself stepping on the jetty and voyaging across the lake to deport on the Hotel premises. This set the journey on the right foot and after receiving the welcome I knew is going to be amazing. I walked through the decorated isles and the spiral staircase to the door of my room. on the way I saw figurines of animals, vintage paintings, magnificently designed porches and courtyards and also the mesmerizing gardens. The room was spectacularly designed. It provided me a calming energy as soon as I got in it. The wooden floor was great to walk on. But the private pool that was attached to the room gave it the touch of grandeur and elegance. The wooden Cabinets, furniture and carpet further added to the aesthetics. I still remember the sound of frogs croaking in the night , the sound of birds humming in the morning and the dances of swarms of orange fishes in the pond across the room. It is beyond the scope of this review to write in lengths about the architecture and greenery of the Hotel. I can only say it is no less than a monument standing in its glory. The chess board pattern of the floor around dining area and pool was a thing of beauty. The service is the hallmark of any Hotel. In Leela it was definitive and as good as it can get. I never faced a hurdle in arranging my trips to Eklingji and Nathdwara. The city tour and jetty rides were simply phenomenal. The Butler - Mr. Kashish was ever ready to help and the Concierge desk headed by Mr Navjot and Aditya provided all sorts of assistance during my stay. The royal service would help you with smallest of things such as packing luggage to range of other things such as arranging dinners, food , clearance and so on. Food is the main draw for the visitors these days. Hotel Leela did not disappoint. The team of chefs led by Rupak Debnath worked like maestros in designing the menus and preparing the dishes. Every dish had its unique taste and flavor. The dinner in the sheesh mahal, by the lake pichola was a surreal experience. The breakfast buffet gave vibes as that of a food carnival with so many dishes and flavours ranging across the regions of India, presented in a beautiful fashion along with western dishes to meet the tastes of all the guests. I gave me happy memories which I relive while eating my breakfast at home everyday. To Conclude, as a home bound and provincial person so much ensconced in his sedentary lifestyle "Staying In Hotel Leela did not feel like staying in a Hotel , rather, it was like living in another home with a beautiful family". I thank Hotel Leela palace for providing me the pleasant experience which I will cherish in the time to come.
